About me and what I do
I was born and raised in Lofoten, a place where many artists have been attracted to – For it’s beauty and it’s rawness. The close connection with nature that my upbringing offered has surely impacted my art. It is a high priority that my work cares for nature, and I always take sustainability into account throughout the processes. And it would be safe to say that the motifs often reveals an admiration for nature – especially trees and mountains.
The fascination for nebulosas and the skies has driven me into a more abstract and colourful direction as well that differs from the earthy landscape periods of my art.
The main mediums I work with is ceramics and painting – more specifically water colors and gouache. I also make my own paint and pigments from nature and food scraps.
In addition to making art I also organize cultural events and teach courses and workshops related to what I create myself. I have ongoing courses in ceramics locally in Lofoten and am open to collaborations beyond that to. Welcome to contact me!
